Cash Services welcome new membership applications. Cash Services membership criteria are open and transparent and a fair strategy is operated, which we continually review. Any change in the membership rules must be approved by the Steering group. If you are interested in knowing more about membership, please contact; firstname.lastname@example.org
Eligibility criteria for membership:
Organisations which are involved, directly or indirectly, in wholesale note or coin operations can join Cash Services. This includes financial institutions and other organisations involved in the exchange of whole cages of notes with the Bank of England or whole cages of coins with The Royal Mint.
Membership will be split into two constituencies:
Full membership may comprise wholesale institutions, deposit taking institutions, commercial note issuers (who are not already represented as wholesale institutions) and Cash-In-Transit organisations. [Note: a wholesale institution is defined as one which draws and/or repatriates bulk notes from a UK note issuer, and/or purchases bulk coin from The Royal Mint].
Organisations not defined as Full Members (such as trade associations or any other organisations with an interest in cash) may apply for Affiliate membership of Cash Services, subject to sponsorship by the Bank of England, The Royal Mint and Payments UK and approved by the Steering Group. Dialogue with Affiliate Members will be maintained through a series of regular forums. If appropriate to the subject matter, Affiliate Members may be invited to attend specific sub-group meetings.
